Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary
Quality Control Inspector to perform visual and dimensional checks against drawings, interpret prints, identify defects, document inspection results, train production on QC measures, calibrate tooling, verify welding procedures, and maintain QA records in a role requiring reading tapes, protractors, and squares, familiarity with AWS/AISC standards, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Location based in Darlington, SC with indoor/outdoor environment and potential overtime. Equal opportunity employer; drug screen contingent offers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong tape measure reading skills; accurately read a tape measure to 1/16"
- Knowledge of structural materials
- Familiarity with national QA standards
- Proficient in print reading
- Valid South Carolina Driver License
- Demonstrated proficiency with protractors and squares
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work scheduled shifts
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work overtime when necessary
- Ability to climb and work at heights
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Experience with reading drawings/prints
- Experience with documenting quality data
- Training production team on quality control measures
- Knowledge of welding procedures
- Knowledge of AWS welding standards
- Knowledge of AISC building standards
- Experience with calibration requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot potential problems in production
- Ability to maintain equipment and metrology tools
- Record keeping and reporting
