Quality Control Inspector CWI

Job Summary
Quality Control Inspector CWI responsible for ensuring compliance with codes and standards (AWS, CWB), shop drawings, weld maps, and tolerances as defined in the quality assurance manual. Inspect welded product and dimensions, document inspections on required QC forms/drawings, monitor welding procedures, and perform non-destructive testing if qualified. Prepare and maintain Inspection and Test Plan, perform dimensional and visual inspections, and support QA across projects. Communicate with production leads and QA Manager, train new employees as needed, and assist other team members under the direction of the QC Manager.
Required Qualifications
- CWI is required
- Five (5) years welding experience
- Read and interpret work orders, job specification sheets and approved shop drawings
- Read measuring tape; ability to add/subtract fractions and decimals
- Read and speak English
- HS Diploma (preferred)
- Experience in Structural Steel operations (preferred)
