Quality Control Inspector - Civil

Quality Control Inspector for civil/infrastructure projects at SGS. Responsibilities include reviewing project documentation and ITPs/Method Statements, conducting inspections at construction stages to verify materials, workmanship, and compliance with project requirements and standards, and participating in final inspections before handover. Must verify alignment with drawings and specifications, inspect materials such as soil, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, drainage, and related structures, and monitor earthworks, paving, drainage installations, and structural elements like retaining walls, bridges, tunnels, dams. Requires a diploma or degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or related field) and at least 5 years of QC experience in road/infrastructure construction. Preferred certifications in construction quality control (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor), CSWIP, BGAS/ASNT, IEC, NEC, or local standards, and proficiency in material testing standards (BS, ASTM, AASHTO). Location: Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE; work arrangement: Hybrid remote. The role emphasizes QA/QC oversight, compliance verification, and coordination with project teams to ensure conformity with approved ITPs and project drawings.
