Job Summary
Quality Control Inspector to join CesiumAstro on 2nd shift, performing inspections on electronic assemblies and finished high-reliability products in accordance with CesiumAstro Quality Management System, international standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include executing quality control processes, inspecting parts/assemblies/products with calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, and CMM/VMM, documenting activities, contributing to inspection method development, resolving nonconformances using root cause and 8D methodologies, data analysis and metrics reporting, continuous improvement initiatives, and coordination with cross-functional teams. Requires reading engineering drawings, experience with AS9100/ISO9001, ERP/PLM, and a technical diploma or equivalent; preferred aerospace/electronics experience and J-STD-001 / IPC certifications.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in a technical field preferred
- 2–4 years relevant work experience or training in a regulated environment (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical device)
- Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
- Experience with microscopic visual inspection
- Experience with ERP and PLM software systems
- Strong ability to read engineering documents, CAD drawings, and detailed work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
