Quality Control Inspector - 2nd shift

Job Summary
Inspect cutting tools manufactured within extremely tight tolerances and examine them for proper geometry against blueprint specifications. Compare quantity and part numbers of received items with procurement data to ensure order accuracy, then approve or reject items while recording inspection and disposition data. Inspect incoming raw materials, thin film coatings, vendor tooling, and grinding wheel configurations, and prepare inspection procedures for future reference. Run inspection programs for in-process and final checks, assist in etching product identifications, and coordinate the calibration and servicing of all inspection equipment. Work the 2nd shift in a fast-paced manufacturing environment using standard operating procedures and quality management system forms.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-3 years industry related experience and/or training
- Manufacturing experience
- Strong geometry knowledge
- Experience with hand gauges
- Experience with non contact-contact inspection equipment
- Ability to convert metric to inch and decimal to fractions
- Strong analytical troubleshooting ability
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
- Knowledge of calipers
- Knowledge of hand micrometers
- Knowledge of metrology equipment
- Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Involvement And Knowledge of the use of quality management system procedures, forms, work instructions, and certifications
- Must be available for 2nd shift

Desired Qualifications
- Certification from a qualified training institution in the field of tool and cutter grinding
