Job Summary
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods according to engineering drawings and specifications. Verify documentation against purchase orders and internal standards, utilizing precision measurement tools to assess material characteristics. Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials, initiating Material Review Board processes as needed, while recording accurate inspection data in the quality management system. Communicate results and quality issues to Purchasing, Production, and Engineering. This on-site role in Chaska, MN reports to the Quality Control Supervisor within Hardware Quality Control. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with an Associate's degree or ASQ certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb
- Associate's degree in a technical field
- relevant quality certification (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector)
Desired Qualifications
- previous experience in: Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- previous experience in: Competent in using various precision measurement tools and equipment
