Job Summary
Monitor and enforce food safety and quality control standards throughout the production process by conducting routine inspections, sampling, and testing of packaging materials and finished products. Maintain accurate documentation of QC findings, corrective actions, and compliance records while identifying non-conformances to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Ensure compliance with FDA, HACCP, GMP, and other applicable food safety regulations by collaborating with cross-functional teams to continuously improve quality systems and processes. Conduct internal audits and assist with third-party or regulatory inspections. This role supports Cello-Wrap Packaging Inc's mission to provide consistent, reliable, and safe packaging solutions since 1953.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in quality control, food safety, or a related role in a manufacturing or packaging environment
- Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FDA regulations, and food safety compliance standards
- Strong attention to detail with excellent observational and analytical skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and maintain quality documentation and reports
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Comfortable working in a production/warehouse environment with varying conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Food Safety or Quality Auditing certification (BRC, SQF, GFSI, ISO, or similar)
