Job Summary
Quality Control Engineer responsible for pre-construction project review, technical quality guidance on submittals and RFIs, quality control management and compliance across the region, coordinating with project teams and general contractors, and leading project-quality staff; key duties include contract/scope/specification review, pre-construction reviews, mix-design reviews with materials specialists, project safety compliance, regional quality compliance, site visits, and collaboration with GC/Owner and CSI Operations on manpower and resources; must demonstrate strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and develop solutions to quality issues; requires 5+ years of concrete construction experience and a bachelor's degree-related qualification.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with concrete construction
- Bachelor's degree in Construction management, Engineering or other construction related field recommended
- Strong knowledge of construction principles/practices
- Strong technical knowledge of concrete production, testing and placement practices
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes (ACI, PCI, TCA)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience leading successful project teams
- Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding
