Quality Control Engineer

Job Summary
Quality Control Engineer responsible for pre-construction reviews, technical assistance with quality issues (submittals and RFIs), quality control management and regional compliance, and coordination with project teams and GCs. Performs contract/scope/specification review, pre-construction mix design review, project safety compliance, periodic quality compliance reviews, and leadership of quality staff within the assigned region. Demonstrates strong verbal/written communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and ability to translate quality requirements into actionable solutions; coordinates with GCs/Owners and CSI Operations on resources and manpower, and drives continuous improvement in project quality through site visits, reporting, and root-cause analysis.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with concrete construction
- Bachelor's degree in Construction management, Engineering or other construction related field recommended
- Strong knowledge of construction principles/practices
- Strong technical knowledge of concrete production, testing and placement practices
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes (ACI, PCI, TCA)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience leading successful project teams
- Energetic and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding
