Quality Control Destruct Lab Technician

Job Summary
Operate all equipment and measurement devices within the Destruct Lab to perform weld destruct testing and inspections at established frequencies. Complete lab work orders, finalize detailed reports for Production, Quality Control, and customer requests, and perform calibrations, testing, and validation work. Resolve quality problems as identified and elevate nonconformities to the QC Team Leader, Supervisor, and Production Team. Ensure product performance conforms to customer specifications while maintaining proper 5S standards and equipment care. Work overtime during weekdays and weekends as required.

- Familiarity with the Toyota Production System (TPS)
- Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment such as computer terminal for data input, copy machines, calculator and any other equipment related to functional area
- Ability to use software including the use of Windows Operating System, MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access database, etc), and Internet
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Ability to read and analyze data in hard copy and on a computer screen
- Ability to efficiently present complex matters to audience with little technical knowledge and to executive management
- Ability to communicate verbally using a telephone
- Ability to manage multiple work projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in using basic measurement tools, including Calipers, Steel Rules, Taper Gauges
- Ability to occasionally travel by automotive and or plane
- Ability to work overtime during weekdays and weekends
