Quality control coordinator

Job Summary
Quality control coordinator focused on ensuring compliance with quality requirements across production facilities and treatment yards. Provides training on defect awareness, product quality, and laboratory procedures; conducts on-site audits to verify conformance with corporate quality policies, ISO 9001, and customer-specific standards for untreated and treated materials. Travel 60%+ to facilities, produce audit reports and maintain quality databases, evaluate treated materials against AWPA, ANSI, CSA, and ASTM standards, and support continuous improvement. Collaborates with plant managers and production teams to optimize quality control objectives; bilingual in French and English; maintains calibration and documentation practices across laboratory and inspection activities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
- BA/BS degree or at least 2-3 years relevant experience
- Proficiency in French and English, spoken and written
- Understanding of governing quality specifications and standards
- Proficiency in QC principles
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Desired Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of related experience
- Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written)
- QA / QC experience in manufacturing or production environments
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems
- Ability to travel ~60%+ of the time
