Job Summary
Quality Control Assurance Technician responsible for managing and maintaining standards, evaluating can samples and trends, performing audits, and ensuring quality for in-process and finished products at the Olympia plant. Will visually inspect items and use gauges, enter data into AS400 and Excel, and communicate quality issues across inspectors, plant staff, and management. Requires ability to stand for long shifts (12 hours), strong attention to detail, basic math, and teamwork. The role supports Crown Beverage Division’s 12 oz can production with a focus on compliance with company and customer standards and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Minimum 6 months’ work experience in Quality Control/Assurance in a manufacturing company is highly desirable
- Prior computer experience is required
- Recent EXCEL spreadsheet experience is preferred
- Must possess basic math skills
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, good record keeping, organization, and precision abilities
- Ability to work under time pressures and flexibility to adjust to sudden work patterns or schedules
- Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and with teams
- Must have good decision-making skills for quarantining out of specification product
- Experience with AS400 and data entry is a plus
