Job Summary
Quality Control Associate for Injection Molding on the 3rd shift located in Austell, GA. Responsibilities include performing first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of molded products; conducting dimensional inspections with calipers, gauges, and scales; performing pressure and pull testing; monitoring production processes and identifying quality concerns; documenting inspection and testing results; identifying and segregating nonconforming material; monitoring scrap and rejected product; communicating quality issues to Production and Quality Management; completing quality reports and shift turnover documentation; and supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Requires 3+ years of quality inspection/QA experience, proficiency with precision measurement equipment (CMM, calipers, gauges), ability to interpret drawings/First Article requirements, familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 and GMP, strong organization and attention to detail, quick learning ability, and solid communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in quality inspection or quality assurance
- Experience with precision measuring equipment such as CMM, calipers and gauges
- Ability to interpret drawings and other First Article requirements
- Familiar with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 as well as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
- Highly organized with faultless attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and work productively to tight deadlines without direct supervision
- Proven communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships
