Job Summary
Quality Control Associate evaluating incoming deliveries to ensure products meet quality specifications and receiving standards; monitor seafood HACCP documentation; collaborate with warehouse and procurement teams; contribute to vendor quality assurance; conduct audits, log non-compliance, and support training to uphold safety and labeling protocols; occasional store visits for product sampling and travel to vendor sites; requires strong documentation, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ability to work early shifts in a refrigerated warehouse setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Meat Science, Aquaculture/Fisheries, Food Technology or related field preferred
- 3–5 years in food manufacturing, retail seafood, or warehouse inspection environments
- Experience with HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, USDA and FDA inspections
- Strong written and verbal communication across teams and roles
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and flexible scheduling - shifts starting as early as 3 am
- Physically capable of lifting over 30 pounds and tolerating refrigerated warehouse temperatures
- Adaptable to changing priorities and open to supervisory coaching
