Job Summary
Inspect pallets visually for defects including broken boards, missing components, nail defects, debris, and contamination. Correct defects that do not meet specification criteria using a hammer, saw, or pry bar. Remove damaged boards and clean the area during and at end of shift. Troubleshoot jams and perform basic maintenance of the quality control station. Work indoors year-round in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Weekend overtime and rotating shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old
- Willing to work in a fast-paced/high-volume environment
- Attention to detail & commitment to quality
- Inspects pallets visually for defects including, but not limited to, broken boards and blocks, missing components, nail defects, debris and contamination
- Correct defects that do not meet specification criteria
- Removes damaged boards with pry bar/hammer
- Cleans area during and at end of shift
- May be required to work frequent overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and flipping of 75-to-85-pound pallets
- Weekend overtime as needed
