Job Summary
Conduct final product inspections and interpret work instructions to ensure conformity with established policies and procedures. Execute assigned inspections, create nonconforming material reports, and perform analysis, troubleshooting, and testing on identified defects. Maintain inspection equipment within calibration cycles and prepare accepted products by labeling them with unique device identification. Work independently or within the Quality team to participate in continuous improvement projects. This role requires a High School Diploma, two years of quality inspection experience, and proficiency with gauges and engineering drawings. Shifts include 1st and 2nd shifts at an aerospace manufacturer in East Aurora.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years' experience in Quality Inspection role
- Proficient in all aspects of inspection including using and maintaining all inspection equipment
- Experience with reading inspection processes and interpreting engineering drawings
- Expertise in the application and use of gauges and inspection equipment
- Strong communication, organizational, documentation and time management skills
- Analytical, logical thought process and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the Quality team and other cross-functional teams as required
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn various manufacturing software systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ISO9000 or AS9100 Quality Systems a plus
