Job Summary
Quality Control Specialist responsible for inspecting shipments and raw goods, measuring specifications with calipers and micrometers, training the production team on quality control measures, recording inspection results in the quality database, identifying defects and reworks, ensuring calibration of measurement equipment, enforcing cleanliness and safe working conditions, and proposing process improvements to improve product excellence. The role involves working with the Quality Control Supervisor to share product information, report bottlenecks, and maintain compliance with standards and procedures throughout long production shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or bachelor’s in applied science with emphasis on manufacturing, engineering, QC background/ focus preferred but not required.
- Minimum 2-3 years in related field preferred
- Must be comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time (8-12 hours shifts)
- Good written, verbal communication/ reporting skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- High attention to detail
- Must have basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications
- Must have ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers, and computers
