Job Summary

Review patient medical records and reports from electronic databases, including incident reporting systems. Maintain internal systems like PowerDMS by categorizing and reformatting policies and procedures. Respond to patient and customer complaints via telephone, verbal, or written channels, screening and documenting compliance hotline calls. Conduct regular audits, reviews, and assessments of healthcare practices, policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices. Manage Healthicity for organizational education, adding new users, tracking patient incident intake, and handling follow-up and reporting. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards by collaborating with internal teams to develop improvement plans. Assist in planning and executing quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and minimize errors. Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and summaries of quality assurance activities, findings, and outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or 4 years related experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Health Care Management or Business Preferred
  • Familiarity of accreditation standards and processes
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), or obtain within 12 months of employment
  • A thorough understanding of State and Federal regulations related to health care compliance, as well as AAAHC
  • Current BLS/ALS certificate
  • Must pass Occupational Health Screening
  • Must possess a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice I-9 form, verified using the E Verify system
  • Clean DMV driving record and MACT auto insurance driving eligibility (determined by auto insurance carrier)
  • The position requires an awareness and keen appreciation of American Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs and the ability at all times to meet and deal effectively in contacts with Indian health organizations which requires tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature
  • Complete an N95 Respirator Fit Testing training course
  • Perform Fit Testing to meet medical staff member compliance requirements
  • Must pass Occupational Health Screening
  • Must possess a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice I-9 form, verified using the E Verify system
  • Clean DMV driving record and MACT auto insurance driving eligibility (determined by auto insurance carrier)
