Job Summary
Support licensed family and center-based childcare programs by implementing practices, setting goals, and providing technical assistance to obtain Parent Aware ratings and drive continuous improvement. Deliver coaching and educational guidance on grant funding and program requirements while managing associated data. Conduct home visits to engage with families and low-income populations, ensuring adherence to Minnesota Statutes on child abuse and neglect reporting. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education, three years of childcare experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license, pass background clearance, and demonstrate strong Spanish communication skills. Full-time day shift hours are available in Park Rapids, MN, with partial remote work options.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in child development, early childhood education, or related field
- At least one year of experience
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 3 years of experience
- Experience working with children in a childcare setting
- Experience and/or demonstrated knowledge of licensed family childcare programs
- Experience and/or demonstrated knowledge of group family childcare programs
- Experience and/or demonstrated knowledge of Head Start
- Experience and/or demonstrated knowledge of childcare center
- Knowledge of Minnesota Statutes relating to child abuse and neglect
- Knowledge of reports of suspected maltreatment in accordance with State law and Agency policies
- Knowledge of early childhood development
- Knowledge of implementing developmentally appropriate practice
- Knowledge of family systems
- Knowledge of human service providers in the community
- Knowledge of family systems (including children, youth, parents, seniors, and chosen family)
- Knowledge of the impact of historical and contemporary inequities
- Knowledge of cultural difference
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work within a flexible schedule
- Availability for evening and weekend hours on a limited basis
