Job Summary
Quality Automation Engineer at TheFork: design, build, and evolve test automation frameworks (Playwright + TypeScript) and internal tooling; own test ecosystem architecture, standards, and pipelines; enable developers with reusable components and abstractions; drive testability across APIs, frontend, and data flows; optimize CI/CD test pipelines (Jenkins) and implement quality gates; mentor teams and promote a quality engineering mindset across a European organization with multiple offices; remote-friendly with flexible hybrid arrangements (2 days per week in office, additional remote flexibility) across Barcelona, Milan, Paris, Torino; explore AI-driven testing capabilities and maintain observability for complex failures.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience
- Strong experience as an SDET / Quality Engineer with focus on frameworks and tooling
- Excellent programming in TypeScript / JavaScript
- Proven experience designing and maintaining test frameworks at scale
- Hands-on experience with modern automation tools (Playwright preferred)
- Strong understanding of test architecture patterns (test pyramid, separation of concerns, isolation strategies)
- Experience enabling teams through libraries, SDKs, or shared tooling
- Solid experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins)
- Experience with API testing (REST/GraphQL) and reusable testing layers
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
- Fluent in English
