Job Summary
Conduct in-process product inspections to verify compliance with customer requirements and maintain variable charts per blueprint specifications. Perform receiving inspections and dock auditing as needed, while monitoring subcontractor data for adherence to standards. Assist in sort operations and uphold all internal safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and housekeeping standards. Maintain work areas and follow company policies including the quality manual and level II procedures. Execute all other duties assigned by the Quality Manager.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three to six months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of quality systems and standards
- Knowledge of inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage
- Capability to perform Gage R&R and capability studies
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to speak and present information effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to do simple math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to add positive and negative numbers
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to distinguish color variation
- Ability to adjust focus
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
