Quality Auditor -Tandem 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Conduct First/Last Piece audits to verify dimensions of finished parts using calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators. Inspect metal stampings, input audit data into software programs, and organize the check fixture area. Interpret engineering drawings to determine quality standards, red-tag nonconforming parts, and establish clean points between good and suspect product. Stop production if unsafe conditions or poor quality exist. Perform essential Press Operator duties during significant downtime. Work the 2nd shift Monday-Friday from 2:00pm-10:00 PM with availability for daily, weekend, and holiday overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen)
- Six (6) months previous manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and interpret information from gauges, gauge blocks, micrometers, taper and pin gauges and dial indicators
- Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift/push/pull objects that are up to 50 pounds
- Work as a team

- Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a factory
- Knowledge and application of Quality Systems, such as IATF 16949
- Proficiency in various Microsoft Programs, such as Outlook, Word and Excel
- Preferably with a metal stampings background in an OEM or Tier I/II supplier in the automotive environment
- Six (6) months previous manufacturing experience, preferably in the quality function that displays progressive work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment
