Job Summary
Conduct First/Last Piece audits to verify dimensions of finished parts for conformance to specifications using calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators. Inspect metal stampings, measure welds, and input audit data into software programs. Interpret engineering drawings to determine quality standards and red tag nonconforming parts. Organize the check fixture area and perform Press Operator duties during significant downtime. Stop production if unsafe conditions or poor quality exist. Report to work on time for the 3rd shift Sunday-Thursday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM rotation, with availability for daily, weekend, and holiday overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen)
- Six (6) months previous manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and interpret information from gauges, gauge blocks, micrometers, taper and pin gauges and dial indicators
- Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift/push/pull objects that are up to 50 pounds

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a factory is beneficial but not necessary

- Preferably with a metal stampings background in an OEM or Tier I/II supplier in the automotive environment
- Knowledge and application of Quality Systems, such as IATF 16949 is preferred
