Quality Assurance Technician

Job Summary
Prepare samples for specific tests and perform sample analysis including technical parameters like basis weight and tensile strength. Complete incoming goods inspections, release compliant materials, and inspect finished products for quality characteristics per customer specifications. Develop product specifications, test reports, and Quality Assurance Agreements while managing Technical Data Sheets and laboratory cooperation. Qualify new raw materials, carry out validation procedures, and perform daily facility inspections. Handle complaints using QMS documentation, issue defect reports, and enforce workplace safety standards in compliance with OSHA and ISO 9001:2015. Report to Top Management on QMS performance and opportunities for improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications and SAP or other ERP system
- Experience working in quality control/quality management
- Experience working as a lab technician
- Experience in audits and certifications
- Mathematical expertise
- Able to work independently
- Experience in working with nonwovens and fibers
- Knowledge of safe work practices and OSHA standards
- Hands-on mentality
- Meticulous focus on quality standards and fulfillment of customer expectations
- Understanding of quality management systems
- Willingness and commitment to permanently locate in the greater Macon, Georgia area
