Job Summary
Conduct sensory evaluation, microbiological, chemical, and physical analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods while adhering to Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices. Safely operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment including Foss FT120, Cryoscope, and pH meters. Maintain the Environmental Monitoring and Allergen Programs through air, water, and pathogen swabbing. Perform pre-operational sanitation checks, manage laboratory inventory, and coordinate sample shipments with third-party labs. Record data, create Certificates of Analysis, and generate summary reports for leadership. Work Monday through Friday 8pm to 4:30am with occasional weekend and overtime requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a food laboratory environment
- Knowledgeable of Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)
- Knowledgeable of Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)
- Strong understanding of microbiology
- Must follow all proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Able to work Monday thru Friday 8pm-4:30am (occasional weekend & OT)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology
- Food laboratory experience preferred
- GMP and/or HACCP qualifications desirable
