Job Summary
Verify packaging, product quality, and manufacturing processes by testing finished and work-in-progress samples and confirming line monitoring records. Conduct regular Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices inspections, identify improvement areas, and recommend corrective actions while collaborating with front-line associates. Submit quality metrics including product mean, Cpk values, and process failure rates to leadership. Perform GMP and internal process audits across ordering, receiving, storage, blending, processing, packaging, and shipping functions. This safety-sensitive role requires attention to heavy equipment and motorized vehicle operations.
Required Qualifications
- 1 years' experience in food manufacturing quality control
- 3 years' experience in manufacturing quality control
- 5 years' experience in food manufacturing
- Fluent in English communications (Verbal, Written, Reading)
- Proficient in algebraic math
- Proficient with computer software and data entry
- GED / high school diploma
- Completion of a minimum of one level skill blocks signed off
- Must be in 'good standing' with the company
- Must have the ability to work on the Day shift during the training period
- Sunday - Thursday 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Sciences)
- Ability to present results and quality initiatives to an audience of 5-15 individuals
- Proficient in statical process control
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate
- Familiarity with FDA regulations
