Quality Assurance Technician I

Job Summary
Quality Assurance Technician I conducts dimensional and visual inspections on first and last article production parts, including AS9102 FAIRs, to prevent defects from reaching customers. Responsible for documenting non-conforming material, providing root-cause feedback, and preparing certificates of conformance (CoC) and dimensional inspection (CofD). Performs quality audits per ISO9001:2015/AS9100D, in-process audits, MSAs, and generates related reports. Uses metrology equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, profilometers, CMMs) and retrieves gauges for calibration. Experience with GD&T and interpreting drawings is required or a plus; prior manufacturing experience and ISO 9000/14000 exposure are advantageous. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, pass a pre-employment physical, and be eligible to comply with export control laws.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED equivalency
- Good aptitude working in a precision machine shop
- Sound understanding of GD&T and interpreting drawings
- Experience with machine shop metrology and test equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, profilometers, CMMs) a plus
- Experience in manufacturing environment a plus
- Ability to perform visual checks and wear PPE
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Pass pre-employment physical
- Experience in ISO 9000/14000 environment a plus
- Capacity to comply with export control laws
