Job Summary
As a Quality Assurance Technician at EMS-Tech Inc., you will work closely with project teams to ensure compliance with quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include managing quality documents, conducting inspections at vendor sites, tracking supplier progress, and facilitating cross-functional quality investigations. Candidates should possess an Engineering Technologist diploma or a degree in Engineering or Applied Science along with previous experience in a manufacturing setting. Strong communication, technical writing skills, and the ability to interpret industrial construction drawings are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering Technologist diploma or an Engineering or Applied Science degree
- Previous experience in a machine and fabrication shop or heavy machinery manufacturing environment
- CWB Level 1 Certification
- Welding and Fabrication Technician Certification
- Familiarity with industry standards (CWB, AWS, ASTM, SSPC)
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to interpret industrial construction drawings
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong technical writing skills
- Ability to read and interpret weld symbols
- Valid passport and driver’s license
Desired Qualifications
- Non-Destructive Examination Certification
- Metallurgy Certification
Additional Requirements
- Availability for travel to supplier sites both locally and internationally as required
