Job Summary
Perform inspections of production setups against work instructions to help ensure first part quality; conduct first part, random, and final inspections against mechanical drawings and sampling plans; inspect incoming raw materials and finished goods; discard nonconforming products and document results; collect samples for testing; compare product attributes to standards using charts/files; enter production and quality data in real-time; report quality issues to the Quality Manager and assist in corrective actions; maintain calibrated measuring tools with outside vendors; support safe, efficient factory operations and assist with material handling or inventory as needed; support shift operations (A Shift, 7:00 am–3:30 pm) with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Ability to use measuring devices (calipers, pie tapes, gauge blocks)
- Experience with inspections (first part, random, final)
- Familiarity with sampling plans and color charts/templates
- Data entry into computer systems (Excel/Word/Outlook)
- Ability to identify and report quality problems
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Strong communication and attention to detail
