Job Summary
Quality Assurance Technician who monitors the Distribution Center for Regulatory and customer compliance, provides guidance on quality concerns raised by internal colleagues and distributors, follows up on quality issues related to inventory and customer complaints, completes special projects assigned by the FSQA Manager/Supervisor, analyzes product returns and inventory quality trends, conducts daily walkthroughs and communicates food safety/quality/sanitation issues to the FSQA Manager, prepares product-related assignments for Product Slicing and shipping coordination, conducts daily truck audits, verifies QCP records, coordinates holds/releases, performs sanitation inspections, prepares reports on inspection findings, collects and sends samples to outside labs for product analysis, and communicates with Distribution Center/Plants on Quality and Customer issues.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with additional specialized training in a food environment
- 3-5 years progressive work experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Serve Safe Certification or ability to attend and pass the certification exam
- Preferably HACCP trained or able to attend training
- Preferably FSQA Technician certification or able to complete certifying body course (e.g., ASQ)
