Job Summary
Conduct product sampling, testing, and production line monitoring to verify compliance with specifications and regulatory standards. Assist the Quality & Food Safety team in monthly plant inspections, including GMP walkthroughs and Glass & Brittle Plastic audits, while utilizing the Redzone system to track quality tasks. Manage non-conforming product processes, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting results to the Quality & Food Safety Manager. Champion a culture of quality and safety by strictly adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation protocols. This hands-on role supports production teams in identifying improvement opportunities within the manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of quality assurance in manufacturing, preferably in food manufacturing
- 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food manufacturing
- Familiarity with third-party audit processes, such as AIB or similar food safety and quality audit programs
- Experience with digital data entry systems, tablets/iPads, or manufacturing execution systems (MES)
- Knowledge or training in root cause analysis tools, including the 5 Whys methodology
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently follow and uphold quality, food safety, and production standards
- Highly accountable, reliable, and curious with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across production and quality teams
- Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of responsibilities while maintaining strong attention to quality and safety standards
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Able to work 8-hour shifts while standing, lifting, bending, and reaching
- Must be able to work on your feet for over 9 straight hours
- Able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive and lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis
- Able to endure constant leaning and bending during shift
Desired Qualifications
- Redzone experience is a plus
- Certifications (HAACP and PCQI)
