Job Summary
Quality Assurance Technician on 2nd shift at Champion Foods LLC in New Boston, MI. Monitors production procedures to ensure that established quality, safety and legal standards of food products are maintained. Responsibilities include checking dough temperature, verifying metal detector, ensuring proper labeling/identification on finished products, conducting laboratory evaluations (baking tests, texture analysis), calibrating thermometer/scales/pH meter, performing microbiology testing and swab sampling, maintaining clean lab and bake areas, and performing additional duties as assigned. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of manufacturing/food-service experience; strong communication, basic math, and computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel). Required Qualifications

- One year of experience in a food service or manufacturing environment
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to comprehend basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, ratios, temperature tolerances, multiplication and addition
- Average computer skills: Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Ability to maintain information in a confidential manner
