Job Summary
Conduct microbiological, physical, and chemical analyses of samples, including retesting and communicating results for non-conforming products. Perform allergen testing on rinse water and finished products at start-up, while calibrating laboratory equipment and plant-wide thermometers. Execute daily water and air testing, maintain the QA database, and document all quality checks and testing logs. Accept or reject raw materials and packaging based on specifications, and prepare yogurt cultures and titrate sorbet products. Clean and organize the lab, assist production with supply restocking, and verify proper rework conformance. Adhere to GFSI compliance, food safety regulations, and security protocols while monitoring daily production for quality issues.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 1 years' experience in Lab environment
- Computer knowledge
- Organizational and Administrative knowledge
- Ability to work well with people
- Communication skills
- Sitting: Long periods (a minimum of 4 hours)
- Standing: Long periods (a minimum of 4 hours)
- Walking: Frequently
- Bending: Occasionally
- Twisting of Spine: Occasionally
- Lifting: Light (less than 30 lbs.) frequently
- Carrying: Light (30-50 lbs.) infrequently distance – 100 ft
- Able to tolerate cold environments (Cooler and Freezer warehouses)
