Job Summary
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials, components, and finished equipment using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with engineering specifications. Perform dock audits, process verifications, and root cause analysis to identify defects, document non-conforming items, and drive corrective actions that reduce scrap and rework. Maintain accurate quality records, analyze inspection data for trends, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives. Work flexible shifts from Friday to Sunday between 6am and 6pm in a heavy manufacturing environment at JCB's Pooler facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing environment
- Experience with inspection tools, measurement techniques, and quality documentation
- Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law
- Must be able to work flexible schedule, including Friday - Sunday 6am -6pm
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs
- Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities
- Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist
- Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force
- Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Quality, Manufacturing, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in quality assurance within heavy manufacturing or industrial environments
- Experience with ISO standards, quality management systems (QMS), or regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and labelling requirements
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) or data analysis tools
