Job Summary
Develop and implement systems to ensure effective containment of internal quality issues and nonconforming product. Coordinate process control plan audits, lead root cause analysis, and supervise Quality Inspectors and Gauge Technicians. Conduct regular audits of internal quality systems, maintain deviation databases, and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards. Facilitate employee training and communicate quality performance to management and customers. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving internal and external quality performance.
Required Qualifications
- Powder Metallurgy Technologist (PMT) Level 2 Certification or currently working toward certification
- 3–5 years of experience in high-speed manufacturing environments with a strong focus on quality
- Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Lean Manufacturing principles
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supervising quality teams in automotive manufacturing environments
- Experience with containment systems, process audits, and customer quality concerns
- Knowledge of metrology, gauging systems, and measurement techniques
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience supporting external customer audits and quality reviews
