Quality Assurance Specialist- Supportive Services for Veteran Families

Job Summary

Conduct routine and targeted audits of SSVF case files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with VA SSVF guidelines, Code of Federal Regulations, and agency policies. Review eligibility documentation, intake assessments, service plans, and exit records for timeliness and accuracy while monitoring core service areas including homelessness prevention and rapid re-housing. Perform ongoing quality checks of data entered into HMIS and SSVF reporting systems, validate key data elements, and partner with staff to correct errors and improve data entry practices. Provide coaching and technical assistance to case managers on documentation standards and best practices, develop training materials, and create audit tools and standard operating procedures. Monitor key program performance indicators, analyze trends, and collaborate with leadership to implement continuous quality improvement initiatives that strengthen program performance and compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in human services or related field
  • Prior case management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, case management, or program monitoring

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with SSVF, VA-funded programs, or federally funded grants
