Job Summary
Quality Assurance Specialist oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems within the accredited commercial laboratory in Northbrook, IL, ensuring data is accurate and defensible, acting as the focal point for QA/QC, overseeing control data, calibration records, documentation control, training, CAPA, and coordination of accreditation activities; requires knowledge of ISO17025/TNI regulations, ability to train personnel, perform internal audits, and ensure regulatory compliance; a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience (or 5 years’ experience in lieu of degree) are required, with excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. The role emphasizes independent data evaluation, quality system improvement, client audits, and documentation of SOPs and technical reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- two years of related experience or five years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Knowledge of ISO17025, TNI (NELAC) and preferably environmental laboratory state regulations
- Knowledge of accreditation and/or certification processes
- Demonstrated communication skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Experience with quality management systems and documentation
- Radiochemistry knowledge is preferred
