Job Summary

Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) role focused on ensuring product quality through inspection of finished, semi-finished, and sub-assemblies per engineering drawings and specifications. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints and specs, performing inspection with automatic/manual gages, calibration and R&D on gages (micrometers, Go-No-Go, CMM, Vernier calipers, etc.), maintaining and generating quality control forms for ISO 9001 compliance, verifying data packages and material certifications, and supporting training and data recording. This position requires adherence to safety protocols (steel/composite-toed shoes and ANSI safety glasses), data accuracy, and collaboration with supervisors to support production. A high school diploma or GED is required; a two-year technical degree or equivalent manufacturing experience is preferred. The role is based in Muskegon, MI, and involves standard manufacturing quality assurance duties with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED required. Two (2) year technical degree preferred or equivalent experience in a precision component manufacturing environment. Must be competent in blueprint reading, shop math and understand gaging and gage reading. Must be computer literate. Must be able to move freely around the facility at a rapid yet safe pace. May be required to lift up to 40 pounds with limited bending and reaching.
