Job Summary

Lead Alpine Aerotech's Quality Assurance and Safety Management Systems across all locations, directing internal and external audits, regulatory compliance efforts with Transport Canada and other airworthiness authorities, and the development/maintenance of safety programs. Oversee calibration programs, documentation control, supplier quality management, Emergency Response planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage teams of QA Auditors and QA Inspectors; partner with HR and management to ensure regulatory training, and drive operational excellence across aircraft maintenance, manufacturing, and related aviation activities. Ensure CARs compliance, OEM/customer requirements, and maintain organizational approvals while supporting growth and international work.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Quality Management, Engineering Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a related role
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing quality, safety, or regulatory compliance teams
  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident, with the ability to obtain and maintain the required Government of Canada security clearance
  • Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities within the Aviation industry, with thorough knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) pertaining to an Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO) and manufacturing
  • Experience working directly with Transport Canada and regulatory audits
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically between Alpine Aerotech locations, as required
  • Superior computer and analytical skills with strong experience using Microsoft Office, ERP systems (Quantum or equivalent)
  • Experience developing & overseeing internal audit, corrective action plans, root cause analysis with a focus on safety and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of Controlled Goods regulations and prior experience supporting Canadian Government contracts is considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to generate high quality deliverables
  • Strong time and project management skills and self-motivation
  • Robust interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and professional maturity with demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build professional relationships
  • Awareness of the sensitivity of information received and appropriate handling
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively, improve processes, and drive operational efficiency
