Job Summary
Oversee Quality Assurance across three Midwest manufacturing sites, ensuring products meet safety, compliance, and regulatory standards. Lead the regional quality team through mentorship, performance management, and the delivery of food safety training programs. Drive continuous improvement by root-cause analysis, implementing engineering solutions, and managing internal audits to reduce risk. Collaborate with R&D, production, and commercial teams to support new product launches and mitigate risks. Cascade goals using SMART frameworks and interface with operational excellence programs to maximize performance metrics. Provide professional support for customer visits and external audits while sharing best practices across sites.
Required Qualifications
- Solid QA experience in the Food and Beverage manufacturing industry
- 10+ years experience
- Experience managing Quality at multiple manufacturing sites
- PCQI, HACCP, SQF experience
- Strong Supervisory/ mentorship of teams
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related field
- 10+ years of experience in food, supplement, or related industry, including management
- Familiarity with FDA, HACCP, SQF, and industry best practices
- Operated in an FDA regulated environment, ideally food or dietary supplement
- Assess and mitigate food safety, regulatory, and cost risks
- Apply sanitation principles effectively
- Application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) for process evaluation and improvements
- Effective project manager that knows how to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Choice to be based at either the Defiance, OH or Bridgeton, MO sites
Desired Qualifications
- Prioritize candidates out of the Pharma or Medical Device manufacturing industries
- Experience managing Quality at multiple manufacturing sites a plus
