Job Summary
Quality Inspector responsible for 1st piece inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection activities in the assembly departments and for measurement equipment calibrations using calibration software to track and maintain calibration records; records nonconformances in the Assembly Inspection History system (AS400); read and interpret engineering drawings; perform dimensional inspections with gauges (calipers, micrometers, thread/plug gauges, dial indicators, optical comparator, durometer); ensure proper documentation with shipments (material traceability reports, certificates of conformity); transact and stage approved materials; notify Supervisors and QEs of nonconforming products; inspection performed via tablet with AS400 integration.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED required
- Strong computer literacy
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings/blueprints and how to interpret dimensional tolerances
