Job Summary

Conduct detailed roofing and building envelope investigations, from standard deficiency reviews to complex diagnostic assessments. Analyze field conditions to identify root causes of failures, recommend corrective actions, and prepare clear, consultant-level reports documenting findings and solutions. Act as the key liaison between clients and the company on warranty reviews, disputes, and technical discussions. Perform scheduled QA/QC inspections across active projects using standardized protocols aligned with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Develop and maintain quality control checklists to ensure consistency across crews and project types. This hybrid role splits time between field inspections and office-based scoping, reporting, and tracking. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, and Field Teams to align on quality expectations and drive continuous improvement in workmanship and service responsiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in roofing, service, or building envelope construction
  • Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems (SBS, TPO, EPDM, BUR), shingles, and metal roofing
  • Working knowledge of building envelope science, including waterproofing, flashing details, and system integration
  • Experience conducting technical inspections, investigations, and diagnostic assessments
  • Ability to scope, estimate, and price small to mid-sized jobs
  • Experience coordinating labour, materials, and scheduling
  • Strong site inspection and report writing skills
  • Brings strong technical judgment and attention to detail when assessing roofing and building envelope conditions
  • Communicates professionally and confidently with clients, consultants, and internal teams, including in sensitive or dispute related situations
  • Takes ownership of quality outcomes by identifying issues early and driving practical, effective solutions
  • Stays organized and disciplined in documentation, reporting, and tracking of inspection activity
  • Approaches challenges with a proactive, analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement
