Job Summary
Develop and manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program for public works construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, specifications, codes, and agency standards. Collaborate with project management, field operations, subcontractors, inspectors, and testing laboratories to deliver high-quality infrastructure. Create and maintain project-specific Quality Control Plans, establish quality objectives, and monitor adherence to company procedures. Lead quality meetings, identify risks, and implement corrective actions. Requires a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field, 7+ years of QA/QC experience in heavy civil, and 3+ years in a leadership role. Valid California driver's license and ability to travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field
- 7+ years of QA/QC experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, or public works construction
- 3+ years in a QA/QC leadership or management role
- Strong understanding of public works construction practices and quality management systems
- Experience with Caltrans, municipal, county, utility, transportation, or water/wastewater projects
- Proficiency with construction documentation and project management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to travel to project sites
