Job Summary
Audit clinical findings, assessments, and interventions while administering prescribed medications per patient plans. Participate in admission, discharge, and transfer processes, and review patient, family, and staff concerns to resolve issues and prevent reoccurrence. Communicate patient status changes to the Unit Manager and interdisciplinary team, and supervise nursing assistants. Identify training needs and lead precepting of new staff, attending in-service education and meetings. Ensure compliance with company policy and federal, state, and local regulations. Lead diverse teams with independent decision-making skills, utilizing knowledge of current nursing standards and computer systems. Manage patient/family meetings and care plans as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
- Must have thorough knowledge of current standards of nursing practice
- Must be knowledgeable of computer systems and applications
