Job Summary

Lead and manage all quality control activities within the manufacturing environment to ensure products meet customer specifications, engineering requirements, and company quality standards. Oversee incoming, in-process, and final product inspections, review inspection data to identify trends, and develop corrective actions to reduce defects and rework. Partner with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Operations to investigate nonconformances, facilitate root cause analysis, and drive systemic improvements. Establish departmental priorities, conduct performance evaluations, and promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement throughout operations.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive quality experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, industrial equipment, machinery, or similar production environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles, inspection methodologies, and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, assembly drawings, bills of material, and technical specifications
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and driving corrective actions
  • Knowledge of dimensional inspection techniques and use of precision measuring equipment
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, suppliers, and management
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and move throughout office, manufacturing, warehouse, and production environments
  • Ability to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods
  • Ability to frequently use hands and fingers to operate computers, measuring instruments, and quality inspection equipment
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access elevated work platforms when necessary
  • Ability to visually inspect products, components, and manufacturing processes, including close vision, color perception, and depth perception
  • Must be able to work in environments with exposure to manufacturing equipment, forklifts, noise, dust, vibration, and varying temperatures

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline
  • Experience within material handling equipment, industrial equipment manufacturing, automation systems, or heavy fabrication environments
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles and auditing practices
  • Experience with GD&T, dimensional tolerancing, process capability analysis, and statistical process control
  • ASQ certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
  • Experience with SYSPRO or similar manufacturing ERP systems
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training and experience
