Job Summary
Quality Assurance Manager responsible for leading quality in the factory, meeting quality targets, and eliminating quality losses. Oversees people, machinery, and processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, GFSI). Builds and coaches a team, manages the department budget, conducts plan-do-check-act cycles, and drives continuous improvement through CAPA and KPI tracking. Leads cross-functional collaboration with suppliers and customers to address quality-related issues, implements robust quality systems, and maintains regulatory compliance. Onsite leadership in Indianapolis with responsibility for the QA function and escalation of quality initiatives across the plant.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of Quality experience in food / pharma industry
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership position in a Manufacturing Plant
- Education: BS Food Science or related required
- Proven leadership experience required
- Growth mindset
- Experience with sanitation is required
- Experience with compliance systems, food defense systems, audit and budgeting
- Experience with GFSI – FSSC, Organic, Kosher, and Rainforest Alliance implementation and compliance is required.
