Job Summary
Conduct rigorous inspections and audits of aerospace components to ensure compliance with design specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards such as AS9100. Lead and manage quality control processes, overseeing the development and implementation of quality management systems while coordinating with engineering, production, and cross-functional teams to integrate quality measures into manufacturing. Determine root causes of quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and negotiate system specification changes with customers and suppliers to reduce costs. Mentor a team of quality professionals, deliver training programs, and maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures and compliance records. Report performance metrics and significant developments to top management to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High School or better
- 5 years experience in a decision making position
- Substantial experience in a machined parts manufacturing environment
- ANSI Y14.5 GD&T expert, including development of inspection techniques
- Basic understanding of special processes such as coatings, platings, thermal processing, and nondestructive testing
- Familiarity with lathes and mills
- US citizen, lawful permanent resident [green card holders], or have refugee or asylee status
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering, quality, management, or related experience preferred
- related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- experience in a machined parts manufacturing environment (Aerospace Preferred)
