Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager ensures compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include establishing and enforcing food safety and quality standards, maintaining product quality, training team members, implementing in-process inspection standards, and preparing quality reports. This role requires hands-on leadership on the production floor, collaborating with various departments to drive a culture of food safety and regulatory compliance. Candidates must possess strong experience in food production, technical knowledge in manufacturing, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of experience within a Manufacturing Facility or Quality Assurance role
- Strong food production background required, preferably with a soup, sauce, dressing facility
- Experience with GFSI Auditing Standards and Regulatory Guidelines
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

- Technical Knowledge - detailed knowledge of product manufacturing including specification development based on facility capabilities
- Communication Skills - excellent verbal, written, and oral ability to provide actionable reports on projects

- Computer Skills - working knowledge of Microsoft Office based software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
