Job Summary
Supervise daily activities of the quality team, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to quality standards. Translate objectives into actionable tasks, monitor progress via daily management systems, and assess team capabilities to develop training programs. Utilize structured problem-solving tools like 8D, Fishbone, and 5-Whys to resolve customer complaints and internal quality concerns, while analyzing performance data to provide actionable insights. Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management cycles, including corrective action plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices across manufacturing sites. Conduct periodic internal audits, manage change procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical methods. Complete an immersion program within three months and participate in daily Gemba walks and lean daily management meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related Science discipline
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company
- Certified Quality Manager (CQM) credential from the American Society for Quality (ASQ)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, or equivalent)
- In-depth understanding of Quality Management Systems, particularly ISO 9001 standards and compliance requirements
- Proficient in the use of problem-solving tools and structured methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys, and Root Cause Analysis
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, inspection techniques, gauging, and metrology practices
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams that uphold organizational values and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing of wire and cable
- Certified Six Sigma Black Belt preferred (minimum Green Belt), with proven experience applying DMAIC or Lean methodologies
