Job Summary
Quality Assurance Manager leads QA and Sanitation teams to ensure regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards are met. Oversees lab operations and QA testing (microbiological, chemical, organoleptic), manages audits and documentation, and drives corrective actions. Maintains compliance with HACCP, FSMA, USDA, FDA, and GFSI standards; coordinates with plant leadership to improve sanitation and GMPs; generates KPI and quality-metrics reports. Requires extensive food-industry experience, regulatory-oversight capabilities, internal audit certification, and proven leadership in cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing QA and sanitation teams in a food manufacturing environment
- 10+ years in the food industry with 5+ years in quality management
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, USDA, FDA, and GFSI standards
- Internal Audit Certification with 1–3 years auditing experience
- Proven ability to hire, lead, and manage teams
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
